This policy explains how VEE Agency collects, uses and protects personal information you provide through this website.
Who is responsible for your data
VEE Agency is the data controller for the information described here. We are based at Syokimau, Machakos County, Kenya, and you can reach us at hello@veeagency.co.ke or on 0717 115 737.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly through our enquiry form and newsletter signup: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your indicated budget range and your message. We also record the IP address and browser information of form submissions to prevent spam and abuse.
If you accept optional cookies, we also collect anonymous usage information about which pages are visited and how people arrive at the site. Nothing of this kind is collected unless you accept it. The Cookie Policy lists exactly what is set and by whom.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide the services you request, and — if you subscribe — send you occasional updates. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Legal basis and consent
We process enquiry data on the basis of your request to be contacted. Newsletter emails are sent only to people who have subscribed, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising cookies are processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Retention
We keep enquiry records for three years from your last contact with us, so we can serve you properly and keep accurate business records, after which they are deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You may ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, and ask for a copy of it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner if you believe we have handled your data improperly. You can reach the ODPC at odpc.go.ke.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers we need to run this website and communicate with you, and only so they can provide those services:
- Our hosting provider — stores the website and its database.
- Our email provider — delivers our replies and notifications.
We do not share your information with anyone else.
Where your data is processed
Our hosting and email are provided from within Africa. No analytics or advertising provider is currently in use, so no data is transferred to one. Where any transfer outside Kenya occurs, we rely on your consent and on the provider's own safeguards, as contemplated by sections 48 and 49 of the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Security
We use appropriate technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections for every page and form on this site. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
